MAY 15th, “Groundhog Day” In this 1993 comedy, Bill Murray plays a narcissistic weather reporter who is isolated from meaningful relationships. The film cleverly portrays the character’s defenses, repetition compulsion, omnipotence, and movement to the depressive position as he reaches more mature functioning. Ms Musolino will suggest parallels to changes that occur in psychoanalytic process.
