Sex and The Psyche: Respondents & Moderators
Eugene Kalin, PhD, is a licensed
psychoanalyst and marriage and
family therapist in New York City
and Great Neck, Long Island. He is
a training and supervising analyst
and faculty member at CMPS where
he sits on the President’s Council.
He has served in many capacities at
other analytic institutes and is the
author of numerous psychoanalytic
papers. Dr. Kalin and is a member
of the Society of Modern Psychoanalysts and the American
Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
Siamak Movahedi, PhD, is a training
and supervisory analyst and the Director
of the Institute for the
Study of Psychoanalysis and Culture
at the Boston Graduate School of
Psychoanalysis. Dr. Movahedi is
Professor of Sociology at the University
of Massachusetts, Boston and
author of numerous articles which
have appeared in American Imago,
American Psychologist, Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Journal of the
American Psychoanalytical Association, Modern Psychoanalysis, and
The American Sociological Review
Theodore Laquercia, PhD, is the
President of the Society of Modern
Psychoanalysts, Professor at BGSP
and Training and Supervising Analyst
at CMPS and BGSP. He sits on the
President’s Council of CMPS and on
its Board of Trustees. He has organized
and led professional meetings
in Europe and the US and recently
presented a paper on the Training
Analysis at Trinity College in Dublin,
Ireland. Dr. Laquercia is a NYS licensed psychoanalyst with
offices in New York City and Boston, MA.
Elliot Zeisel, PhD, is a licensed
psychoanalyst. He is a Fellow of the
American Group Psychotherapy
Association and has served on the
AGPA Board. Currently, he is Vice-
Chair of the AGPA’s Foundation
Board. He is a Founder of the Center
for Group Studies and is a faculty
member and training analyst at
the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic
Studies, where he serves as the
Director of the Group Department. Dr Zeisel has lectured
extensively on group therapy, both nationally and abroad.

CMPS Certificate Training Program.
Drs. Lucy Holmes and Elisabeth Young-Bruehl will lead the discussion.
